Several months ago I received an e-mail stating how men where lurking in parking lots asking women if they wear perfume, and they have a "free" sample for them. The "free samples" ended up being toxins/poisons (One of the two) and the women ended up being knocked out, and I think abducted. Similar to the story posted here.

Today, I was walking out of Wal-Mart, and was approached by a young man asking if I wore perfume. I said no, not most of the time. He said "Well we're expanding and I have a free sample for YOU" As he points both index fingers at me. I then remembered the e-mail I had gotten months back, and asked him if he knew there is a scam where people do that. He replied "Yeah, cuz I'm really going to knock you out in front of all these people in the middle of day" I said "We're in a recession, people are desperate." I should have mentioned if anyone had even seen him do that, I highly doubt anyone would help. He continued to argue with me, asking if I believed everything I read on the internet. I replied "I believe things that will protect me" and walked away.

I'm a little jolted by this, have already vented to one friend but felt the need to post this here. Being this is a family oriented website, I'd like to let everyone know to be safe out there, and don't give strangers the time of day. For all I know, he could've taken me back to a van where someone was waiting behind the door, threw me in there and drove off. Yes it's in the middle of the day, but it's not like people aren't abducted in the middle of the day with alot of people around them.

I hope this doesn't go unread, and will help someone.

Make a report to your local Police Station.

On the off chance he is one of the bad guys, you should not let this go.

You should also feel better about taking an action that might save someone else.

There are some who would come to your aid were you being dragged off against your will.

Thanks to this thread, I would definitely be more aware. This kind of reminded me about something today..

Today I was in my backyard and I was getting my dog inside and these guys who were in the neighborhood cleaning up the tree branches and stuff and right when I was making my dog go inside two of the men were looking at me over my wall and trying to tell me something or talk to me but I looked away and went inside. I found it kinda creepy, like you don't talk to people in their backyard over their wall. You just don't do that lol.

I called the PD and let them know that there are people in the parking lot, they said they would go check it out. I wasn't going to call, for fear of sounding like a paranoid freak, but like you said Wes, might save someone. And yes, there are people that would come to the aid of someone being dragged off. I just hope those people are more common than what I think.

That's creepy Tiffany, I'd probly run inside and lock all the doors. lol.

My aunt, uncle, cousin, and grandfather are all police officers and dectives and you would be amazed at some of the stuff they talk about that happens everyday. Theres alot of crazy people out there

Yesterday was a weird bad day.

First off, I had that happen to me at Wal Mart. My mom calls me later and tells me she has Kidney Stones (again). Then I find out that my best friends home was robbed, and they're missing $10,000-$12,000 worth of stuff, including credit cards. Turns out they were staking out her place and knew exactly when she'd leave, and the amount of time they had before her husband would get home.

What a weird, weird day...

I have heard that perfume sample story, I also watch a lot of TruTV and it some times shocks me that some people are so bold to do some of the sick stuff they do!!
Elise I think you should go for the pepper spray rather than the taser, you can only take out one person at a time with a taser but with pepper spray you can take out several and you wont have to be close enough to touch them!!! You can get pepper spray pretty cheap on ebay
