ASF# 2 second litter weaned 10/2... 2.5
ASF #1 third litter born 10/2...8 pinks
Interesting thing noticed here...I predicted on the calendar a litter born by ASF 1 on 10/3, or 26 days later. Litter number 3 born 25 days after litter number 2. My ASFs just became predictable. I have ASF#2 marked down for Thursday, 10/8...and she is swollen and nesting. Seems like my predictions are going to come true. Neat-o stuff, I think.

ASF#2 third litter born 10/7....4 pinks
Hmmm...sudden number drop. Im going to blame it on a random variable, perhaps because they spent the past month living in the living room...I couldnt help it they are too fun to watch.
Oh and I guess Im going to keep this thread running as a sort of online journal, just to display my data to all.

Re: ASF stats thus far...
So far data supports 25-26 days between litters, consistently.
Now that a second colony has started and that one already has 2 pregnant females, this is going to be a pain in the butt to update for all colonies so Im going to observe the data from only the new colony to further back up my personal observations of 25 days between litters. I know care sheets and everything already have that data, but it's more fun for me to see it myself then go off of what other people say. Apparently Im supposed to have like 16 pup litters according to the hype, but that has yet to happen and I dont care if it will.
Also, for the litters that birthed 4 and 8 pups, that month after the previous litter was dropped the ASFs were kept in the high traffic area of my house, the living room. Once they birthed they were placed back in their dark closet and the litter born 10/27 and 11/2 are back up to normal size. Definitely think the traffic had something to do with it, but the need for an increase in supply for the season does not allow me to experiment with this further until I have a steady surplus built up.
