    Quick thermostat question

I think I remember reading the thermostat probe goes in the top tub since heat rises... is this correct? And also, does it go inside the tub under the bedding (newspaper). Just got my Herpstat ND in so my snakes can finally have ideal conditions!!!

    Re: Quick thermostat question

okay so the probe is inside the tub under the newspaper and I have the herpstat set to 93 but the temp is reading 95.4? Do I just lower the set temp or does this not sound right?

Most people put it halfway up the rack or a couple above the halfway mark depending on how many levels you have in the rack. The probe should be under the tub on the flexwatt, or cable. Then you just have to adjust the temp on the stat to get the inside of the tub the right temp
