I don't cool -- but rather keep the room temps within the target range. I have gone to year-round breeding -- just had 2 ovulations and six egg clutch today.

My birthday's on October 20th, so I was thinking about making that my official "start date" - but since my only pair is already looking ready (esp the girl), I'll probably introduce them in a few days! Happy early birthday to us, LOL. 
This will be my very first breeding attempt, so I can't say what has worked in the past. Seeing as our temperature here in SF is constant/mild year-round, I figure the month doesn't matter anyway. I also don't plan to cool, mostly because I'm limited to one rack for ALL the snakes... including the young'uns who aren't breeding yet.
