Fast growing BPs, correlation to food intake?

I'm new to the forum and completely new to BPs. Yet I've kept turtles for the better part of 20 years (18-19 years) so no new to reptiles. I've been lukering here and appricate the wealth of information available in this forum.

I've found it very interesting some of the growth people observe in thier BPs having them several hundred grams within their first year. Yet I haven't noticed if the ones which have exceptionally rapid growth are feeding more than the typical recommandation of every 5 days 10-15% of the snakes weight. So if you have a really fast growing snake and want to share how big you got it at 6, 12, 18, 24 months etc and also include the feeding schedule I think it would be interesting to read.

    Thanks
    Xavier

I don't have a fast growing snake( 6 year old, 3 ft, not sure of weight cuz I don't have a scale), but I do believe that they can bulk up fairly fast if given bigger food and eat more. Mine has definitely bulked up since Christmas when I got him. He used to be on a adult pre killed mouse every 1 or 2 weeks( that is all he would eat when my cousin had him). But he is now on f/t small rats every 7-10 days, and at a guess he has prob bulked up 50-150 grams in 8 months. Again this is a guess since I don't have a scale, but he is definitely bigger

The female pinstripe we picked up at Tinley last October weighed 534 grams when we got her. I've only been feeding her a 3-4 week old rat once a week for the past year and she is now weighing in at 1800+ grams.
