What kind of BP should i get?

Im a first time snake owner and i am lookin to buy a python. I hear BP are great for beginners. Are there other species of pythons that are good or should i just stick with a BP?

as far as pythons go BPs are usually the best beginner snake. Really just ask yourself what you want as a pet snake as far as size, feeding, housing, and temprement and go from there

Dragoon is right, different kinds of snakes can have vastly different temperaments. If you're looking for a snake that likes to be handled frequently, or can be put on display in your living room, a BP is probably not the way to go. I actually got a BP specifically because I'm a college student and spend a lot of time out of my room, meaning my BP gets plenty of peace and quiet. I have the cutest pet in the world, and he gets a warm hiding place with take out delivery, it's win-win

You give rather inaccurate information. A bp is a great starter snake, and you can handle them a lot. You just have to make sure you husbandry is what it needs to be to not stress the snake out.
