The first time I fed Butterscotch a rabbit (the burm at the zoo)...I saw her doing that same thing well after I thought the rabbit had moved far enough down her body. I'd been bumping around in the snake house a bit and figured I'd really bothered her and she was trying to spit up her meal. I put everything down, turned out the light and left. Came back an hour or so later and there was no sign of the bunny...she kept it down after all.
Ya I thought she already took it down as she was going into her hide because she was moving her stomach like she was moving the rat down. When she was making the weird movements she like moved 1/3 of the front of her body out of the hide and then kinda sat there. I'm going to go check on her right now to see if she's still down that.

And when I fed her in a separate container she'd always lift her head in the air but now she can't since the 41 qt tub is kinda shallow. My mom kept saying it was too low when we were at the store but we got it anyways
