dfw reptile expo
So I went to our little reptile show that we had here in arlington, tx this weekend. It was a lot smaller than i had expected and there wasn't a whole lot of crazy things to see.
BUT while there were no panda pieds or coral glows or anything really crazy, I was happy to see that REAL LIVE BPs are nothing like only seeing them on the computer. This was the first time I've ever seen any morphs in person (or snake?) and it was astounding. I felt like a total nerd being able to name off all the moprhs and what their 'ingredients' were to my boyfriend, but I had so much fun going around and around and around looking at the same snakes over and over again.
My favorites of the show were probably the most gorgeous butter I've ever seen and a firefly, which I had to ask the breeder about. Nobody came home with me though, since constantine is already in hiding (still living on campus ) and I'm apparently only allowed 2 more snakes ever according to my boyfriend ("better make em count").
I guess the point of my post is to tell anyone who has never been to a show, big or small, to make sure they go whenever they get the chance!

Re: dfw reptile expo
Definitely. I'm going to my first show on the 26th/27th since having my little BP for a month now. In a way, I'm lucky to not have any spare money right now, otherwise I'd probably jump the gun and come home with a handful of new ball pythons - more than likely VERY expensive ball pythons. Like almost everyone else, my goal is to get a high-white pied, or a leucy. Or both. Hah.
0.1 '09 Normal Ball Python - Sheva

1.0 SHTCTB Leopard Gecko - Paradox
1.0 Cockatiel - Mo (Mohawk)
0.1 Peachfaced Lovebird - Bean
0.2 Mischievous, long-haired cats - Moxxi and Azura
And 1.0 incredible, loving husband.

There's an NARBC show in Arlington in February. That one will have a lot of big names and some amazing animals to see! Glad you enjoyed your first show, though! I really miss the TX shows and hope to be able to squeeze in a trip to Arlington in Feb!

What in the world have I gotten myself into??
