    ALL pythons and boas are illegal here in San Francisco, but they generally don't bother private keepers - only retailers who sell them. When I got my first BP in Berkeley, they warned me about this stupid law. He said "don't make any enemies, because they could call animal control on you." They are legal in the surrounding counties, so if that happened I'd either move 5 miles away, or temporarily keep them at my mother's house (in Santa Clara county). Anyway, I'm sorry that happened to you! I've had nosy neighbors in the past, and they can be a real pain in the butt... try to keep the peace, though, because it's just not worth having a neighborly feud.

    P.S. I love the cricket idea, LOL.
