gray scales on my snakes head?

I noticed a few grey scales a few days ago, but I didn't think much of them. Today when I went to handle my snake, I noticed there was a cluster of these grey scales right on the top of her head. They don't look like ticks; the scales are just dull and silver looking. It worries me because it seems that more of the scales are becoming this color...no pictures yet. I'll post some soon. Any idea as to what this is and why its happening?

dub it a hackneyed, faux demeanor; you'll ultimately stand corrected.

It's perfectly normal and harmless. It's sort of like a patch of dry skin you might get on your face or hand or something. It'll disappear with the next shed and you may or may not see another little patch pop up somewhere else. I think some snakes are more prone to them than others.

Yeup. I've seen it before, I never knew exactly what it was but I could tell it was benign (not a stuck shed, and they were all seen by a vet and she didn't mention anything about them).

As long as its just one or a few isolated scales its nothing to fret over.
