    A Ghostly Fright!

I keep a couple of my ball pythons at Mermaid1978's house including my lovely orange ghost. Well Monique doesn't like the snake because it hisses when you pull it out of its tub, and she handles the breeder and pet rats that we have (and smells like rats). Well she woke up throughout the night to strange noises, a cat that would not leave her bed, and a screaming cockatiel. I will take full responsibility in that I had a brain fart, and completely forgot to put the ghost back in its tub after I cleaned it. Needless to say, here is where she ended up:

I'm glad that she ended up in the aquarium, and not some tight place that we would have to tear the apartment up to find.

I don't smell like rats.... Thats was not a good site this morning. I blamed the scared kitty for knocking things over. You owe me for getting the ghost back where she belongs.

Wow - that could have ended very badly.

I bet she was freezing cold.

More so for the floor and fish than the snake though

When (and she would have) the filter pump would have been knocked off its ledge and water pumped out across the floor......that wouldn't have been fun

I am sure the snake will be just fine....

....and don't forget to put it up next time, escaped reptiles seem to be 'to blame' for all our legal issues in the hobby.

    Re: A Ghostly Fright!

I know, I'm kicking myself for forgetting about it in the tub I put it in for cleaning. It's a tropical tank close to 80 degrees, and I'm keeping a close eye on her in case of an RI. What we're trying to figure out is how she got up there. The tank is about 4 feet off the floor. She must have climbed up the filter cords.

Yodaaz, I'm still trying to figure out the story from your pictures! Here's what I interpret from them... Your BP escaped, and got into a tight place, and you had to use a saw to cut away something, and now your snake is comfy cozy back in its tub!

all that would of happened would of been to knock the hang on the back filter on the floor, which wouldnt kill the fish nor would it be more than about 2 cups worth of water

Wow you're lucky! To have such a pretty snake and that she wasn't injured!

    That cat looks so mad!
