some ppl use bleach but that doesnt kill as much as some think

I use a 10% bleach/water solution. It works perfectly fine.

I use good old soap and water. One of these days I will get some chlorhexadine since it seems to be very effective.

I use Novlasan at ~ 1 part to 31 parts water. $60 for a gallon of the stuff and it's got so many uses.

I read some where (may have been on these forums!) that original Listerine (the brown one) is safe to use with reptiles. I use it to clean everything my big girl comes in contact with. Smells pretty awesome and rinses clean

i use shaklee basic-G, let it soak for 20 mins and rinse THOROUGHLY

Soap and water, rinse, then disinfect with chlorhexedine, then rinse again.

I'm trying out a new product called BioShield. You spray it on, let it dry, and it kills mold, yeasts, and bacteria for 3 months, and is fully washable. It's safe for food contact surfaces, and safe for pets, as long as it's dry.
(Before it is dry, it is apparently wickedly toxic, so wear gloves, eye protection, and do it outside).

I use Chlorhexidine, but am considering Nolvasan.

I thoroughly clean cages once a week.

I also use Trifectant once a month.

I switched from bleach to chlorohexadine about two months ago and I am a big fan of it.

I volunteered at a rehab aquarium and they didn't use bleach on plastic stuff since they were afraid of the plastic absorbing it. They used soap and water and vinegar solution.

So I don't know for sure how safe bleach is for plastic but I def know it does kill stuff incredibly well.
