    wut substrate are u using?
i use paper towells, and when i spray them, they get the job done!
i dont soak them, but i mist them so they feel damp and warm.

Surprised you are having low humidity probs in FL...I used to live near Tampa Bay and phew was it ever muggy! If you have holes in the tubs you could plug some up with hot glue. Also a humid hide with damp sphagnum moss may help. Good luck!

    Re: humidity problem

I'm certainly not a pro (going through the first shed with my BP) but thus far I'm having pretty good luck keeping her humidity up.

I use aspen also, so I've tried using a damp, hot wash cloth to add moisture to my snake's enclosure. I placed it on top of her warm side hide so that its under her heat lamp. Other than that I've just been filling her water bowl a little higher than usual, and misting- seems to be working out!
