Meet "SINDRI".... Sindri came to live with us this past weekend. I came into contact with his previous care giver through craigslist. I have an add posted on craigslist offering to take in any ball pythons that are in need of good homes. Sindri's mom had him listed for a re-homing fee of $100 dollars. After she was unable to find anyone to take him for the $100 fee, she saw my add and contacted me. I exchanged several e-mails with her. The re-homing fee came up in our conversations and I told her that I was not willing to pay her a re-homing fee but that I would be more then happy to take him into our home. We talked about how she has had Sindri since he was a baby, he is now 4 years old, and that she had listed him for such a high re-homing fee because she wanted someone that cared enough to pay a high price, and felt this would insure that he was well taken care of. In our exchanges I could tell that she did not really want to get rid of him and I asked her if she had discussed with any of her family the option of one of them caring for Sindri until she finished basic training and was settled. She said that she had tried but since she was not only going to go through basic, but was also going straight to California for an additional year of training, it was not an option. So I told her that I would care for Sindri, would keep in contact with her and after she was done with training and got settled, as long as she payed me for feeding him, I would give him back.

So Thank You Keli for serving our country. Sindri will be waiting for you.
