nice food selection.. but yeah I would agree. I just picked up some attison's food for grownups and babies, along with some betta spa. Its supposed to be the best stuff on the market for them.. who knows, we'll find out in time I guess

I have heard of that stuff.Well i have been talking to a breeder and he is the one whom set me up with the worm cultures. The starter cultures are cheap. He has been doing this for 30+ years and has reasured me it gets easier as you gain experiance .

Re: My Betta's
It is amazingly easy, the experience is a plus though. All I ever needed to breed my gouramis was a rubbermade tub, a plastic plant, and some hikari first bites (for the fry).
Ultimately its way less complicated than it seems.

Finally! Jeesh!
They are beautiful! I especially love the red on that male. When are you thinking of breeding them? Man, as soon as my husband and I get our own house, I am getting some bettas! You've made me catch the betta bug all over again.
Something that is really good for them, especially during breeding is almond leaf. You can get it on aquabid for really cheap and it makes the water a kind of brownish color but it is supposed to imitate their natural habitat (leaves falling in the water) The leaf not only helps condition the water but it provides a place for the male to make his nest.
So with the babies last time. Did they just disappear? Are you using a filter on the breeding tank? Oh and those two definitely need a bigger tank. I recommend no smaller than a 1g tank for a betta. I personally always try and use 2-5g per betta.

I have babies from them right now .I lost the babies last time because i tried feeding them fry fish food.Well i now have 3 differant worm cultures that were recommended from a betta breeder. No filtration on the tank as it wears out the babies.I cut a styrofoam cup in half for him to build his nest in(also recommended by breeders).

Pictures as soon as you can get a decent pic of them! How many babies are you estimating? I know they can have tons.
