    Which combinations??

I'm just planning ahead right now, and trying to decide how to round out my collection. I currently have 3 females (2 normal, one het albino) and 4 males (pastel, mojave, het albino & spider)... so it looks like one more female needs to join the party. I've come up with three possible breeding/mating plans, and was curious as to your opinions. This will be my first attempt at breeding, and only one pair will be ready this winter - but I need to start raising up those girls, LOL (I may also go for an adult, depending on the morph).

Here are the three options I've come up with, and I will add a poll as well. Feel free to suggest other ideas, and to correct any mistakes I've made with the genetics. Oh, and I'll put the "yet-to-be-purchased" females in italics...

    Plan A
Normal (Delilah) + Mojave = Normal / Mojave
Normal (Mona) + Pastel = Normal / Pastel
het Albino + het Albino = Albino / 100% het
    Pastel + Spider = Spider / Pastel / Bumblebee

    Plan B
    Normal (D) + Spider = Normal / Spider
    Normal (M) + Pastel = Normal / Pastel
het Albino + het Albino = Albino / 100% het
    Lesser + Mojave = Lesser / Mojave / BEL / Normal?

    Plan C
    Normal (D) + Mojave = Normal / Mojave
    Normal (M) + Spider = Normal / Spider
het Albino + het Albino = Albino / 100% het
    Cinnamon + Pastel = Pastel / Cinnamon / Pewter

So to summarize, should I get a female pastel, lesser or cinnamon? Or something else?? TIA!

3.4 Corn Snakes, 1.1 Western Hognose Snakes, 1.2 cats, and 1.0 dog (47lb mutt)

That's okay... thanks for correcting me! I wasn't 100% sure on that one, no pun intended - LOL.

Also, your mojave x lesser is correct, but every other co-dom x co-dom or dom will also produce normals.
What are these mojavas I keep hearing so much about?

Well it's really up to you... What do YOU like better.. BEL's, Bees, or Pewters?

I personally like Pewters.. But that's just me.

    Re: Which combinations??

    Re: Which combinations??

Thanks for the input, everyone! It looks like the poll is a tie between Pastel & Lesser. I know the decision is ultimately mine, but it does help to hear other opinions - especially since I plan to sell the offspring, and need to make sure there's a market for them. I'm leaning towards a Lesser or Butter at this point, because I've been dreaming of BELs since I first saw them. But we'll see what happens, and hopefully I can get one of each!

Ah... I wasn't sure about that! So, will the combination of "Cinnamon + Pastel" also produce normals? Of course I'll be happy with any babies, normal or morph - as long as they are healthy.

P.S. I can't wait to meet my spider, Jake!!! He should be here in about 14 hours.......

    Re: Which combinations??

Lesser is now safely in the lead... I was just thinking, what would a female hypo/ghost do with my boys? I've been interested in hypos since I first saw them in person, and would definitely like at least one in my collection. But it doesn't seem like many hypo combos are around, so I'm curious as to why.
