I'm just planning ahead right now, and trying to decide how to round out my collection. I currently have 3 females (2 normal, one het albino) and 4 males (pastel, mojave, het albino & spider)... so it looks like one more female needs to join the party.
I've come up with three possible breeding/mating plans, and was curious as to your opinions. This will be my first attempt at breeding, and only one pair will be ready this winter - but I need to start raising up those girls, LOL (I may also go for an adult, depending on the morph).
Here are the three options I've come up with, and I will add a poll as well. Feel free to suggest other ideas, and to correct any mistakes I've made with the genetics. Oh, and I'll put the "yet-to-be-purchased" females in italics...
Plan A
Normal (Delilah) + Mojave = Normal / Mojave
Normal (Mona) + Pastel = Normal / Pastel
het Albino + het Albino = Albino / 100% het
Pastel + Spider = Spider / Pastel / Bumblebee
Plan B
Normal (D) + Spider = Normal / Spider
Normal (M) + Pastel = Normal / Pastel
het Albino + het Albino = Albino / 100% het
Lesser + Mojave = Lesser / Mojave / BEL / Normal?
Plan C
Normal (D) + Mojave = Normal / Mojave
Normal (M) + Spider = Normal / Spider
het Albino + het Albino = Albino / 100% het
Cinnamon + Pastel = Pastel / Cinnamon / Pewter
So to summarize, should I get a female pastel, lesser or cinnamon? Or something else??
