    Re: Price Check

    I'm all about selective breeding.
IMO, Every animal in my collection is a great example of the Morph that they represent. Each animal was selected because of that, and not based on price.

I don't think the 1.1 YB's that the thread starter is picking up are of a less quality then the YB that you posted Jamie.
Unless they are not from a Proven line of het Ivory.

The male does seem to have a nice Normal looking pattern, but a nice YB, and you can't see the top pattern on the female but her sides and Belly look Grade A to me.

I am not an expert on grading, or selecting YellowBellies though. They have always been my least favorite Morph, although they are growing on me.

Do you think that 1.1 pair of YB's are B Grade?

I wasn't saying anything negative about the animals the OP is buying. I was just making a point about selective breeding and how it relates to price. I also am not an expert on grading YBs. I believe the female is an excellent example. The male is ok, but not what I would be looking for. Some people just want to make an Ivory and to be honest I don't know if YB quality makes a difference when trying to produce an Ivory. I haven't bred my male yet. I am looking for the right girl to put him with and not necessarily to make an Ivory.

Thanks for all your input guys. I agree the female is way better looking than the male. But then again the male has awsome blushing and flames (obviously they wont be appearing on an ivory lol) Just wanted to see how good of a deal i was geting on them, and its not bad. I've seen ALOT of YBs going for 50 bucks this year, there was an add on kingsnake i believe for 10 lots of male YBs for like, $200 if i remember correctly lol. Something rediculously low. But yeah, its all about what you want as a breeder.
I dont agree with a word your saying but will defend to the death your right to say it

    0.1 Normal
    0.1 Cinnamon
    0.1 Albino
    1.0 Sterling Bee
    1.0 Cinnamon
