Unhappy RE: Sanke egg problem, egg-bound

    Hello
I have a very big problem with my PHILODRYAS BARONI

They are pregnant for four month.

one of them just put 3 unfertil egg and 1 fertill egg and she looks that she still have more egg inside her.

The other one is desperate trying to put the eggs but nothing happen.
I think she is egg-bound and I donīt no what to do.
How can i help her, what should I do?

I have read in "the complete ball python - a comprehensive guide to care breeding and genetic mutations" buy Kevin McCurley
that I can try with a syringe to go trough the snake sking into the egg and try to take some part of the egg yolk with it, but I am not sure if a syringe could take some of the yolk and if the egg is unfertile tis would be impossible since, the unfertile eggs that the other snake put out is hard as a rock inside.

Some say to me that y can give the snake Vaseline orally or try to put some Vaseline in her "ass" sorry for my English

Donīt tell me to go to a vet because here in Chile there is no vet for any "Exotic Pet" I already try

Thank you very much for your guidance

Vet. Immediately. Do not attempt this type of veterinary care on your own. Failure to follow this advice, could very well result in the death of the snake/s.

Then you will need to contact zoo's or other experienced people in your area. an online forum really is not the best place. These people cannot see, and feel the animals to tell you what is going on, and inappropriate advice could be given that could worsen the problem.

Until you can find someone that can further help you, try a warm soak and right afterwards VERY GENTLY massage the area where the eggs are to see if you can help loosen anything up, but keep looking for an expert who can help you!
