    my Carpet Python

This is my pick up from the last (and first!) Havre De Grace reptile show I went to. Pardon my sentence fragments.. I'm getting over being really sick lol.

I got her from Outback Reptiles. They told me she actually came from another breeder in Virginia. She is a striped Jungle x Coastal cross i believe (if she is something else, let me know, i failed to write down that information). She does have a full stripe. Her colors are incredible.

I've only really handled ball pythons and she is something else. She is so aware of her environment and everything around her it is crazy. The glove is because i'm a pansy.. Its actually more for my comfort than to keep me from getting bitten.. Its Targets cheapest gardening glove. She dosen't go for the hands though. I'll be handling her with one glove until im confident to handle her with none. She's had a habit of going for the face when she bites. The last two times ive handled her she hasn't tried to eat my face though! SO EXCITING! She will be SO pretty at 8+ feet though. If she's clam enough around strangers as she gets older I'll be using as an educational animal.

I'm thinking about naming her Lady Prestor. (you win 1 internet if you get the reference).

She's great. We're both getting more comfortable with each other each handling session. She has her moods though.. And they're hyper aware of everything (at least she is). Shes the only snake i have that reacts to my cats. She's always looking around at something.

I don't know if i'll do any more carpets, but I enjoy having one.

I don't wear a glove on my other hand, but i haven't quite gotten the guts to try to take her out without the one glove on. She is NOT keen on the snake hook so i haven't been using it. She seems to be calmer when I dont.

And to you sir, ONE INTERNETS!
