    Question Help

Yeah I know that it is normal for BPs to go on fasting but I am really starting to worry about my girl.... She is a three year old female BP that is really persnickity about eating. Heck we have to trim the wiskers off of the F/ for her to eat it... if the wiskers touch her she freaks out.... well she has only eaten once this year.... the time she last ate was four months ago and the time before that was six months prior.... Well she ate four months ago and then shed and now even though she has not eaten she just shed again last week... . would that be normal? Should I be worried about her? She eats f/t rats when she does eat. I have tried a live mouse but tha tjust scared the living bejeesus out of her...... Any suggestions and thoughs would be appreciated.

    Re: Help

Have you double and triple checked your husbandry? Can you give us a detailed overview of your temps, humidity, hides, substrate, type of enclosure, heat source, how you measure and control the heat source.

This information will greatly help to decipher why your snake is not so hungry

There are many reasons as to why a snake will not eat. I think it is a little abnormal that a 3 year old snake would only eat twice a year. Sounds to me like your snake is stressed (being afraid of feeders) for one reason or another. Do you still handle this snake?
