    Exotics By Nature

I don't think anybody has to worry about the online selling part, but I believe his storefront is closing. Atleast I know his mind is set on it right now, so unless he changes his mind November 1st will be Exotics By Nature's last day as a store locally. If anybody else shops there, they know what a great loss this will be to have such a nice store close down, despite all the nasty stores that are still open. So I know on November 1st, he is going to do a big sale for supplies and such, not for snakes.

I've spoken with Sean acouple of times over the last few months during the move. While I'll miss the store front I understand what he's facing. With sales slowing and overhead raising you make changes where you can..

Sean will come out on top just like he alway's has..

Oh yea, it just sucks because I like going there. Always a great guy to talk to, and yep he will come out on top. I think the only thing he will do is breeder thursday or something similiar, maybe when things get better he will re-open the store front.

    Re: Exotics By Nature

    Hi guys,

I guess I'll post to this thread just to mention what is going on...

Every dry product in the store is 20-40% off UNTIL November 1st. After that, whatever is left over will probably be brought to a local reptile show and sold for whatever it can yield.

Every Thursday from 3-7pm the doors will be open for FEEDERS ONLY... Mice, Rats and Crickets. There will be a menu posted on the website as well as in the entry area of the shop and an employee there to take and fill your orders. The current store area will be closed to the general public.

Since the website has been launched with a database system to keep track of what is for sale, I have begun updating it VERY often. If there is an animal on the site that interests someone, they can call and make an appointment to purchase it or it can be shipped like any other sale that we have done in the past.

This has been something that I have been trying to do for the past 7 years since we moved out to the industrial location we are currently in. I guess at this point the retail has just gotten to be too costly and time consuming to keep around. If we open for retail again in the future, it will NOT be in this location. Expect to see an EbN store in Metairie, Mandeville or somewhere in the Baton Rouge area if we embark on a retail operation again.

Again this is more of a time issue. My life has been overwhelmed with reptile work and I'm looking forward to finding my "happy medium" between work, play and the hobby that I always loved.

Any questions, please let me know...
