    Re: Recessive combos-Leucistic Pied?

If you bred a lesser-pied to a lesser-pied...ALL the babies would be pieds...no hets. Some might also be lesser-pieds...and some might be lucy-pieds...but there would be no hets.

If you bred a lesser-pied to a lesser-het-pied....any babies that weren't pieds would still be 100% het for pied.

The real question comes down to a lesser-het-pied bred to a lesser-het-pied...would markers show up in a lucy-het-pied? Probably not.

As for what a lucy-pied would look like.... I'm pretty sure such a combo has NOT been produced yet...but I don't know if anyone is trying. When it comes to a very difficult-to-achieve double-homo combo....the guys putting in the $$$ and years of work tend to aim for the combos that are most likely to produce startling results. A white-on-white combo would not be a high priority, I don't think. Not for me, anyhow....were I in the business of making such animals.
