    Provent-a-mite

    Hi Guys,
I just ordered a can of provent-a-mite and I was wondering what you all think of it. When I first got back into snakes I stupidly bought my corndurans from a store that was infested with mites, a friend of mine (another store owner) mixed me up a bottle ivermectin spray. That worked great no problems, 10 days spraying of animal and cage, and change their bedding(paper towels) everyday. Worked like a charm, no mites in almost 2 yrs.. After that initial treatment. Even as my collection grew. Well I picked up a probably 2 yr. old female normal b/p to be one of my breeder girls. She is great, she eats F/T rats and/or mice. She ate 1 day after I picked her up 4 days ago. Tonight while cleaning her cage I found her soaking in her water bowl, and sure enough MITES. I HATE mites, they totally freak me out! So now I want to cure her and protect the rest of my collection so I have heard that the provent-a-mite is a good product and I was just wondering what you guys think.

    Re: Provent-a-mite

PAM works like a charm. Had a problem with mites a few years ago when I got a wild caught female. It was alarming how they spread through my collection like wildfire. One treatment, and I haven't had any issues since. Even though I knew they wouldn't affect me, I couldn't help but feel creeped out and itched every scratch. Be sure you treat every enclosure.

I only hear great things about it, I recently posted about finding ticks/mites and nearly everyone told me about PAM. I ordered it online and I am still waiting for it, cost a little over 20 bucks... then I saw it at a local reptile store today for 17

    Order straight from Pro Products.
$14 a can. They are cheaper than any other place.
