for those who cut their eggs

its fascinating to me that so many people cut their eggs!!
im not entirely sure why it has become such an accepted practice?
i dont really see a problem with it either, but many newbies out here seem to be cutting just because eveybody does it.
is it because their curious as to what they will be hatching?
or is it because they think they cant pip and get out on their own?
please fill me in on this as im not familiar with the practice.
ive been breeding colubrids for around 10 years and only cut if an egg doesnt pip after 3 days after the first.

Re: for those who cut their eggs

For my corns I let them pip, but once they're all out except one or two eggs, I'll cut those just to make sure they're doing ok.

Other than that, I think it should be treated with care and experience. Not out of impatience.
