    Tubs vs Rack Question

I've been looking at a couple of racks to move my BP's into and the one I am leaning towards is the RBI CB70 rack. I like it because the Flexwatt is recessed into the shelves. My main concern is the tub size is a 30 qt tub, and I have a fairly large male that will be housed in it. My main question is does anybody use this particular set-up and is it good for a snake that is 54" long and over 2300g. Or, since I only have 2 snakes and maybe picking up another, should I just go with individual tubs? I would also appreciate any recommendations for other racks. I've seen a couple of nice ones but the Flexwatt isn't recessed, or in some cases included. In racks like this, are there issues with the tubs rubbing the Flexwatt and do you have to set one of the tubs on the t-stat probe or is there usually some type of slot for it to go? Building one is just not possible right now. Not enough time on the weekends to do it. Thanks for any suggestions or opinions...

    Re: Tubs vs Rack Question

The two racks that I own are by www.boaphile.com. The racks are great with recessed flexwatt and they come with tubs. The only negative to them is that they take 4-6 weeks to be delivered. My two orders have always come within 4 weeks. If you have time though they're definitely sturdy quality racks.

Not to take anything away from Reptile basics because they also offer quality products and service. Much faster shipping times as well. Personally I would keep a 2300g+ snake in a 41qt.

That's kind of what I was thinking. I got a 50qt tub that I am going to move him into this weekend. It measures 33L X 19W X 7T. It has basically the same amout of floor space that his current tank has, just not the height. The problem with him is at night he will spend hours trying to poke his nose at the screen and he will even try to crawl upside down along the screen until gravity takes over and he falls. I don't want him to get rub spots or worse fall over and hit his eyes on something, so he's definitely going to a tub. I was just curious about what rack systems would be ok for a snake that large. Thanks for the suggestion I'll check out Boaphile tonight...
