    Most expensive snake?

OK, so I had a heart stopping event happen to me last night and was curious about this.

First off, I keep my snakes in a rack and till last night, thought the rack was completely escape proof. It has housed snakes in it without a single problem for months, but that 1% chasnce really jumped up and bit me last night.

I was showing my snakes to some friends when I got to my tub holding my piebald. To my suprise when I opened the tub I had no piebald. The snake had escaped from an almost seamless fit. Thank god I found him in the next room over sitting coiled up under a recliner, but not untill I comopletely tore everything up looking for him.

My question is what is the most expensive snake you have ever had escape on you?

I haven't had a snake escape in about 20 years.
What kind of rack system are you using, is it a DIY, are you sure the tub was closed properly?

    Re: Most expensive snake?

It is a DIY and I have the problem fixed now. I am not posting this as a trouble shooting thread, just a question is all.

To add to this, it was a 1/8" gap where the tubs clips snap onto the lid that the snake crawled out of. I have a barrier (not placed there for this purpose) in the back to keep anything from coming out of the tub, but now am installing clips to the front to hold this gap closed tighter.

    Re: Most expensive snake?

I had a $700 escape right before I was going to ship her, somehow when I wasnt looking she got out of her shipping back right before I stuck her in the the box.

Money has been returned and still no snake almost a month later

Ive yet to have any snakes get out of my RBI racks.

Come here little guy. You're awfully cute and fluffy but unfortunately for you, you're made of meat
