We reported earlier tonight that the earlier indications regarding the injury to the lower "extremity" of Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel pointed to a sprained MCL and a sprained ankle.
Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports, citing an unnamed source within the Chiefs' organization, reports that it's indeed an MCL sprain.
Cole says that Cassel will miss 2-4 weeks, suggesting that it's a Grade II sprain.
Cole also confirms that Cassel suffered an ankle injury, which isn't regarded as serious.
That sucks for me!But let's get real. We play the Ravens IN Baltimore Week 1. We have the worst O-line in football. This may be a good thing that Cassel is missing this game.
