I could not agree with Del more... I have two WC girls that had been brought in gravid, the eggs were collected, and they were getting flipped to a pet store.
Two years in and these girls are NOT thriving, and it is not from lack of work and attention.
Snakes brought in as *bush babies* under around 600-800g can acclimate, but adults are very tricky, and I would not recommend it.
CH snakes, I do not have a problem with that.
But if your goal is to raise these WCs as part of your collection, then expect ticks, mites, and parasites. And depending on how they were collected scars and burns as well. Huge QT and expensive vet bills. Not so cheap in the long run.
If your other goal is to bring them in and sell them, then you are passing on a huge headache to the new keepers.
You can get bags of unsexed, or all male or all female CH babes for a reasonable price. They get them for cheaper, but they are also importing in the 1000's and then moving the lot (pet stores, breeders, etc). Usually they come in bags of 10.
Several people in CAN import and are legit and have been doing so for years. Use a middle man such as this.
