    Tub size for Baby Bloods?

What size tub would be suitable for baby bloods? How long will this last, and when they grow out of this size tub, what should they move on to?

    Thanks,
    Brandon

I think many breeders use 6qt tubs until they get their guys feeding regularly. After that they may bump them up to a shoebox sized tub. I currently use a shoebox sized tub on my new hatchling and he is doing fine.

It is true that adult bloods appreciate a bit of extra room, but babies really need a small space. Mine won't eat if he's in anything larger than a 15qt.

Hatchlings an be in 6qt-16qt tubs for a while. Usually after a year on steady growth you can then move them to a 28qt tub. and after that use your judgment on moving them up tub size. Soon youll want to begin building a custom 4x2x2 cage for when the time comes.

Re: Tub size for Baby Bloods?

ive had mine for almost 6 months....they are a year old now. when i first got them, they were in 15qts. now they are in 32qts and its time to bump them up pretty soon. they seem to have hit a huge growth purt and are putting on girth and lenght rapidly!
