Chinese Water Dragon hand feeding video
How cool is this? This is how I feed him because it's just so simple and I can keep track of what he eats. My cage is so large that I allow a few crickets to roam free in there and he can hunt them just as he would in nature. It's fun to watch him spot them at random times and cross the cage to get em. Anyway, here's the video I just took. I took it on my iPhone so it's weird dimensions.

also I took this picture just after.

God I love this iPhone.

I feed mine by had as well. But I feed dubias and superworms. I don't like to handle them, so I use feeding tongs. They both will eat right from the tongs.
I also put in a shallow 12 inch alum pan. I can toss in a handful of supers or dubias and not worry about escapees.

Oh that's a cheap solution. I was wondering what I should buy to keep some supers in there at all times. That'd work well!

I got mine at walmart for a few bucks. Just check the dog bowl section. It was intended to be used as a water\food dish for a dog and they had several sizes to choose from. I used to use it as the water dish for one of my bigger snakes. But any glass, alum, plastic, and ceramic bowl with about 2 inch sides should work. Mine recognize the sound of a bug landing in the pan when I toss it in and generally leap down and attack before the bug can even move.

Re: Chinese Water Dragon hand feeding video
my girlfriend has an asian water dragon, and she feeds it "pinkys" or "fuzzys" i dont know if you have ever fed yours a pinky or a fuzzy, but they are live baby mice. might seem a bit cruel, but nobody is more enthusiastic about animals than my girlfriend. i think it's a bit messed up, but its still so cool to watch. try one out sometime, i'm sure you will be fascinated.

another quick tip: if you are using a dish to put your super worms in for feeding, they may escape and grow into beetles. try some calcium powder on them, they cannot escape, and it provides great mineral nutrients.

Pinkies are usually about as big as you want to go. Unless you have a really big WD that can handle a fuzzy. But I'd go with frozen\thawed. Live is just not necessary. And a few a month would be fine.
