Talking Re: Ball python very defensive/aggresive

Thanks everyone for the advice!....needed to clean the cage out today, so I used a snake hook to remove him from the cage. After i got him out he was very calm.

    Re: Ball python very defensive/aggresive

1 or 2 mice a week seems a little small a meal for an 11 month old ball, me thinks.

    Have you thought about rats?

    Re: Ball python very defensive/aggresive

My guy was very aggressive when I first got him. I left him alone for a few weeks and he's fine. Then last week when I reached in to grab him he struck me then quickly balled up after I took him out of his tank he was fine. Last night he was hissing at me when I reached in a grabbed but no striking. After I take him out he's fine and acts like nothing happened.

Most of my yearling mousers are taking 3-4 mice a week. Poor lil guy is still probably still just hungry.
