Re: Opinions: Which Lesser reigns supreme?
# 1 for me Smokin!!!! I definately like lighter colored lessers better. Number 2 has a nice pattern but is a bit darker and # 3 is dark like a mojo....

Yep. number one by far for me.

I chose #3. He is a really dark example of a lesser, it seems different, maybe it is just the amount of contrast. Not only that, but it would be neat to see what kind of offspring he will be capable of producing.

1 & 2 may have the Lesser "look" to them but there's something funky going on with #3 I dig that pattern best.

I picked number one. I'm by no means an expert but the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw both 2 and 3 was mojo. When I think of a lesser I think of a lighter, creamy type color.

Re: Opinions: Which Lesser reigns supreme?
#1 definitely. I don't like a lot of extreme contrast in Lessers, like what #2 has. I prefer the pattern too - the "warped" alien heads (are they still called that with no little dots there?) look a little funky compared to #1's pattern, too.
All in my personal opinion, of course. All three are pretty regardless!

Re: Opinions: Which Lesser reigns supreme?
Love the comments! I'm learning a ton, here. For those curious, I also rated #1 as the highest quality animal, but I certainly think the dark lessers produced from the second clutch are extremely interesting animals.
There may be other influences in all of these animals' color (granite is one possibility--the sire may have that gene, I'll be proving it next year. The first hatchling may also carry an unknown gene from its woma dam). I've seen lessers around that look similar to these, though perhaps not quite as dark as #3. I wonder if the granite is responsible for darkening them--although their dam was also quite a dark normal, too. 2 and 3 had a pure granite sibling that we're holding back to prove it out as genetic.
In any case, ignore the 'speckling' in their windows, as that may prove to be the influence of the granite gene, so shouldn't be held against them (it might turn out that all three are combo-morphs, lol).

Re: Opinions: Which Lesser reigns supreme?
I can see how #1 would be regarded as the "highest quality" lesser in a way, because he has the lightest colors.
However, my personal preference is for #2. If I had to characterize why, I guess I'd say it's because of his wide dorsal pattern; I also like the contrast between the darkness of his back versus the light sides.
Of course, I just got finished reading a book about how sometimes, when we try and categorize what makes us like things that we like, we make dumber decisions ... So, maybe I should just stick with saying, "I like him better, I dunno why!"

Re: Opinions: Which Lesser reigns supreme?
I like the colors of #1 best, but the pattern on #3 is amazing. I can see why most people would like #1, but I can't ignore a pretty pattern. I think flecks are more interesting than blotches of color; it just gives me more to look at. I don't think I can decide!

That's why I like 3 although 1 is a very nice lesser- 3 has "something" going on there... good luck with them they are all nice!
