    UPDATE:

    He's doing just fine.

He's smaller than his siblings, but doing just fine. His bellybutton healed up nicely, and I am waiting for his first shed.

Re: HELP!!! Knotted its own umbilicus!!!

    Hi,

What happens when the umbilicus heals?

Does it dry up and fall off with the dental floss attatched or is some of it drawn inside?

If it is drawn inside what do you do about the dental floss?

I feel like I should know the answers to this but I really don't.

Like it happens in nature, it dries up and falls off. I was told that there was a very small portion of flesh with dental floss tied around it left at the base of the tub before it got cleaned.

So it doesn't get absorbed, persay. That would only be if the floss was in the yolk itself.. I can't imagine any reason for that to be.
