Qualifications To Become A Ref?!

Well once again I am thinking of ways to make money HAHA! Anyways I am thinking of becoming a soccer and hockey ref for the little kids. Do you guys know the qualifications for becoming a soccer/hockey ref? I know the rules and all but whats the age you need to be and etc,

This will most likely vary between areas and the best way would be to talk to the leagues that you are thinking about officiating and asking them. I know here in SC a bunch of college aged kids are JV refs for basketball and football.
