    weird behaivor

    i just fed my 4 foot red tail her first large rat about a hour later she is biting her reptile carpet and going nuts she is my only snake that eats in her aquarium with i'm trying to break the habit.. Has any one every seen that behavior before? i'm kinda scared to go back in there!!

    Feeding in an enclosure is not a habit. It is actually better. Is she just like rubbing her mouth and face on things? Sometimes when my snakes have a large meal he wipes his mouth kinda afterwards.

    no she's biting her carpet and twisting her body like trying to wrap it..but a little while ago i went in there and took out carpet and replaced it with newspaper and she did not go for me i picked her right up..maybe there was scent of the rat on her carpet .
