What I'd personally do is first just scope out the show when you get there and think about it after looking at a few different snakes. What you think you'll get isn't necessarily what you'll end up with. You'll see what you like.

Well you mentioned a blood python, and a Hog Island Boa.

I personally think you should get the boa. You can easily house a Hog island in a rubbermaid tub or sterilite just as you would a ball python for a year or more.
