When I decided to add an enchi to my collection, I was VERY discriminating about the quality that I wanted to add. I always say "there are enchis and then there are ENCHIS". I did pay more than market price for enchis in order to obtain this girl, and I think she was well worth it. I've seen enchis for $100 that I was hard pressed to tell was an enchi and not just a reduced normal. I personally don't add a morph for the sake of adding a morph - I want to get the very best example that I can find, and I'm willing to pay more for that opportunity.
This is where I believe the future of the ball python market SHOULD be - on a graded scale, based on quality. I plan to grade the animals that I produce, with the best examples being more than the average or lower grades.
