i don't know if my BP is sick or not....

first off he hasn't eaten in more than three weeks, wehich i am aware is nothing in itself to be afraid of, but he usually eats every 2 weeks no problem....secondly i noticed a dry flaky spot on his head about 1.5 months ago that i had assumed came from him rubbing on the screen top to his cage and gettting to close to his heat lamp....now he has a dark brown spot on his upper lip which i have never noticed before although he acts healthy and i don't see anything else wrong with his mouth....i don't know if i should be worried or if there is anybody who has seen this before and has any ideas...

    Hi,

We really need to see what your talking about so can you get some clear pictures?

I will say though if you are worried remember no forum can compare to a hands on examination by a qualified reptile vet.

Does the heat lamp have a guard around it to stop him getting burnt? Or is it placed in a way he cannot touch it?

    Hi,

Well the first thing is to get them hosted somewhere online.

You can put them in your gallery here - this tutorial is a bit old but the basic procedure is the same I think.

And here is another one in video form that might also help.

You can also use a site like http://photobucket.com/

They should also have tutorials to help you.

If you still have trouble just ask any member of staff and we will do our best to get you sorted.

That's still a link to the file on your computer not a link to the version of it you uploaded to either your gallery or imageshack.

    Is this the pic?

Getting close up pictures of their head is always tricky - it is best done with two people and good light. one person concentrates on holding the snake still in a nice bright area and the other tries to get the pic. I normally end up taking loads and hope one of them turned out ok.
