Awesome! Which ones are you looking at? I personally like the Gaboon Viper's pattern. It is sweet! Keep us updated!

Re: May be getting my next hot snake soon!!!!
Theres only a few hots I really want. Im more of a python guy but I enjoy all snakes but the one im looking at now has a very nice "Hood" lol
But I would love to add a
gaboon viper
rhino viper
and a eastern diamonback to the collection.
Im sure the venomous collection will grow as soon as the snakes are moved into the building out back though lol

I think i'm going to be getting my venomous permit soon, I just want to sort out some other things first.
I know I will probably catch hell for this but I think i'm going to get me either a monocled cobra, but not until I feel I am comfortable with them because i'm going to be working with a friend of mine that has a few cobra species. That will be my first unless I decide to get the desert horned viper.

congrats denial, sounds like you plan to get a cobra. i dont know what venomous you have kept other then the copperheads you mentioned. so i though i would just say that cobras are a lot harder to handle and young ones dont always ride a hook well. you should have a good amount of hot keeping experience before getting into elapids. with that said what kind of cobra are you getting.

Re: May be getting my next hot snake soon!!!!
Yea this is actually a friends cobra that ive handled for a while and he isnt sure if he is going to be able to keep it or not. Like I said Im not 100 percent sure yet if hes going to have to get rid of it but if he does its coming to me. Ive been working with hots for a while I just dicided not to keep that many with children in my house. But the snakes will be moved to the building in a few months.
