Once again, I see no feeding, only the burm killing the bunny. Which is the stuff that helps give snakes bad reps. Snakes- Scary and scaley, Bunnies- Cute and Fluffy.

I open a tub and give them the rat or rabbit close the tub and move to the next. I dont think Ive watched any of my snakes eat in over a year. Also when I watch them eat I get a little depressed because I know whats coming in a few days. A 6 pound digested rabbit is not fun to clean up
I hate how when you look up a species of snake on youtube, trying to get a decent video, and then find that there is 200 pages of "Ball python eating rat!!"...

Oh My God same here! I was looking for burm care videos and all I got was "Watch my 5 foot Burmese Python eat a Rat" or "Burmese Python vs. Stuart Little" its so annoying. That is why I don't like putting up feeding videos.

I hate when you find people on youtube that have these snakes and there so proud they are videotaping it killing somethign but they dont even know what kind of snake they own. It will be a retic labeled as a burm and a burm labeled as a boa

Re: Video of my Burmese eating the rabbit

Just came back from a small vacation and noticed this thread.

Anything wrong with the vid??? Well, the obvious has already been covered.

Secondly, it looks like some type of screen is used on the enclosure doors. You are losing all required humidity with that much screening.

Thirdly, I would think that the enclosure is too small, but that's me.

On the subject of picky burms, yes they are out there. My male will only take live rats or F/T chickens. The only way to get a rabbit into him is to give him a chicken and shove the head of the rabbit into his mouth when he's almost done the chicken. At 14 feet giving him a live rat, no matter the size, is just too ridiculous. I also "gravy train" rats into my bps that are stuck on mice (I have two like that).

Too small of a tank? its a 6 feet long by 2 feet high by 2 feet deep. He is only 8 feet long right now. When he grows another foot or 2 my dad is going to build me a 10 x3x3 tank....i didn think his tank was too small and my tanks humidity stays around a constant 55-65% with the heat lamps included. I never have a problem with humidity in my tanks all my tanks stay at the right level with just a misting every once and a while and some moss. only time i have to really do some work on the humidity is when they are in shed at that point i put automatic misting machines into their tanks

I hate feeding day because it means I'm going to leave my snake to itself for a few days to digest, I'd rather be handling her!

The cage doesn't look too small for me.

So you could fit in there quite nicely, could you? I, on the other hand, find it too small for myself or an 8 foot burm. But like I said, that's just me. I would keep an SD retic in something that size, however.
