Male Lemon Pastel - First BP - Diesel

This is my first ball python. I got him 8/7. He was hatched on the fourth of July. His name is Diesel and hes a Lemon Pastel that I got from MajorLeagueConstrictors on either Fauna or Kingsnake (cant remember). The guy's name is Jeremy Biddle and he was a pleasure to do business with. Ive had him for a week and he has been responding tremendously to my setup. I fed him for the first time today and he nailed down two fuzzies. I was very proud how well he hammered them down. Anyway, heres some pictures and one of his enclosure.

    Chillin in his decor

And one of the tank setup

I think he is the right size... At least compared to mine. My normal was that little when I got her, she has almost tripled in size since i got her. That was about 3 months ago. She is just shy of 300g on an empty stomach now.

Here is the very first pic I took of her

and a Few Days after that

I dont have any updated pics... That was about 3 months ago... I should take some and yes my camara skills have improved some too!

Congratulations on your new baby! I love lemon pastels!

One thing I'd like to suggest to you - to save you some future heartache - close up that stand on the Accurite and buy some velcro. Velcro the thermometer at ground level to the side of your enclosure (on the inside - the bottom of the thermometer touching the substrate).

If he knocks over the thermometer with the stand down (and he will) and then tries to crawl through that "O" part of the stand, he may very well get stick, and you're not going to be able to get him out without cutting it away.

You'd be amazed the small spaces that they can cram their heads into.

I was going for one with more yellow in him. Your Zebra blows my little guy away tho. I saw it and it is spectacular.

Tell me about it. I have a small gap on my hood becuase the foam core board holds my lid up a little and he likes to kinda sit up on the little ledge it makes. I saw him completely suspended in the air up there last night until he fell out cuz he couldnt progress forward without unsticking. Its not a gap that he can get out, it is still covered by the lid, but the lid is raised a little so he can sit on the top of the tank a little. Its like a quarter inch.
