Re: omg!..people eating boa constictors on tv!!!!

Honestly don't see the problem with it. The snake didn't go to waste, and that is all that counts. If I ever saw something like that on a menu, I would certainly try it at least once.

In regards to the python hunt in South Florida, I wish they would let the local restaurants cook em up. At least then they wouldn't go to waste.

    Think about it.

There are lots of people with fish tanks that love to eat fish.

There are lots of people who have pet pigs that love to eat pork

There are lots of people who have pet lizards that love to eat gator tail.

There are lots of people with pet birds that love to eat chicken.

There are lots of people with pet turtles that still love turtle soup.

Why should snakes be any different?

    Agreed.

I LOVE crocodilians.. VERY tasty, and american alligators are quite abundant. I've had farm-raised saltwater croc, every bit as tasty too. I've never eaten snake, I've heard it's not as good as some other reptile dishes. I've never had turtle soup either but that's supposed to be FAN-TAS-TIC.

No animal is off my menu because I think they're cute or I keep them as pets.

... ive had mako shark... and i think ive had alligator when i was really young but i dont remember. I do remember seeing it on a menu some where though... And i thought frog legs was a weird food too... I guess people have to eat what there is to eat.....

And, saying that turtle soup and alligator is really good for you, ??? its not any better for you then any other type of meat....

Don't have a problem with it. They have been doing to for centuries so who are we to judge. As other cultures adopting this cuisine I am also all for. I wouldnt mind trying some reptile meat. As long s they stay away from my animals I don't care.

There is a huge difference between red meats, bird meat, fish... Reptile meat is closest to bird.

I believe he was saying it is wastefull because the dead snakes are just being disposed of... not used for anything... Could be wrong on this tho...
