    Your snake's color will change over time. This is normal. Especially with the black/brown spots. I do know exactly what you mean with the odd looking scales that appear almost grey. This is shed that didn't come off completely. You can either soak the snake for a couple hours then use a damp hand town to help remove it, or just wait for it to come off during the next shed. Its not a big deal and won't harm your snake.
