    Stood on an ant hill..

This morning while I was at school I was sitting on a bench outside and I didn't realize my feet were on an ant hill and they swarmed my feet and stung me 3 times. One of the stings are swollen, and all of them are itchy. Ants can really have painful stings!!

Yep, I got 8 three weeks ago and the bites/stings are still there. I don't know anything about ants so I don't know if it is a bite or a sting but either way it is no good.

Re: Stood on an ant hill..

This one time (at band camp, anyone, anyone?), I was herping (duh) and flipping logs. I flipped a log, which happened to be situated above an ant pile. I got bit about 10 times on my thumb, and dealt with it like a man..after crying about it.

On the way back, I flipped the same log, got bitten by the same ants, but this time on different fingers.

I like Minnesota. Great fishing, great outdoors, NO FIRE ANTS!!

Gawd after spending 3/4 of my life in texas and louisiana, I have a healthy hatred for those things.

My first time standing in an anthill was halloween when I was maybe 6 years old, in the dark. I got stung upwards of 20 times.

    Yeah Minnesota sounds nice.

Great fishing, great outdoors... hmm... sounds perfect.

The fire ants are worth it.

We have some mean ants in Arizona.

I hopped a fence and landed barefoot onto an anthill.

This photo is NOT photo shopped.

    NWS for gross hairy man-foot.

I know I just have to keep my herping to pets I guess, which is enough of a reptile fix to keep me sane.

The ants here will bite you whenever they feel like it. When I was little.. this one huge ant tried making an ant hill out of my skin... and it HURT.
