I THINK this is a legless lizard

So, my dad called me out to the garage tonight and there, right in the middle of the garage was what I thought was a very fat, short snake. So, since I didn't recognize it and didn't know if it was something that happened to have very large and sharp teeth, I put on a pair of gloves and went to grab it, expecting a chase. Instead, it just clalmly let me approach and grab it; only after I had it picked up did it try to escape, but no biting. Eventually, it calmed down, and I realized after looking at him that I'm pretty certain he's not a snake.

For one thing, he had EARS. The sort of ears you see on a lizard; no heat pits, and the head wasn't shaped like a snake's. It didn't have scales; rather, a long, slick plate, with only one "break" in the belly area. It allowed me to examine it all I wanted; it had round pupils, too, and what I believe to be the cloaca was very far forward on the tail. The tail tip also resembled the way a common anole's does after it loses the tip and grows back.

Naturally, I took photos! Sorry for the poor quality. I took some of them, and the belly shot and the last one were taken by my mom.

Funny thing is that this guy behaved better for pictures than my pet snakes...LOL. Anyone know for sure what he is?

Yep, it's a legless lizard. Some people call them glass snakes around here.
