Tub issues...?

Just wondering if anyone has had issues taking a snake from an aquarium set up to a tub set up. I adopted one of my snakes from someone who was keeping him in a 125gallon tank with lights, and put him into a 32qt tub with a heat pad and thermostat. He seemed fine, but I would notice him always moving around, and seemed kind of restless. Shortly after I noticed that he stopped eating for 3months or so. This bothered me because he was always an agressive feeder, and always seemed like he was content. So recently I put him in a 20gallon long with a heat pad, thermostat, paper towels, water dish, plexi glass on half the top, and a piece of drift wood. I waited two weeks threw in a mouse and he nailed it. Now hes eating again, and displaying his normal behavior again. Anyone know why this happened?

Probably just getting used to the new environment. After all, it does cause a lot of stress to the snake. Was the husbandry in the tub correct? That could have added to it.

I'm assuming that he stopped eating recently? It was breeding time a bit ago, and some bp's go off feed during that time, even if there are no mates present.

Probably got real used to the tank set up and wasn't used to the tub. 125 is huge though.
I have some balls in displys and some in tubs. My displays are covered on three sides with black foam board so only one side is showing. I start all my balls in displays and the ones that show to be consistantly timid usually wind up in tubs and the ones that are fearless will stay in the displays. All eat real well for me regardless. I just like to see my snakes when they come out at night.

I do think they have different personalities and displays aren't for all bps. One of my lessers if it sees anyone will not come out of its hide. And is now in a tub. My Bee and Albino don't care whats going on outside they're enclosure, and come to the glass in curiosity, they're in displays. My Leucy (in display)will come out of her hide if you put your finger up to the tank or the dogs tail wags in front.She is fearless and will cruise around at night no matter whats going on. Most swear by tubs. It's definitely easier.

yeah i got all my other ones in tubs right now, and there fine. I was thinking that he was used to the aquarium style setup. At first when I switched him over he seemed fine, restless, but still ate and exuded some what normal behavior. I got him in january, and he stopped eating around may or april I believe. My husbandry is alway RIGHT on. 90-92 hot spot provided with a thermostat, humidity never dips below 45%, proper hide spot all of that. So I know I'm not doing anything wrong. It was really weird too, cuz it was like a week after I put him in the aquarium he started eating and being normal again. I guess they can get acustomed to something and can really be sensitive to certain changes in the enviroment. But yeah, I was just wondering if anyone else had a similar problem.

im going to venture off as say hes not a baby... he might of been looking for love if you know what i mean.

maybe, all I know is as soon as I put him in the tank he was fine it seemed...very weird. He is older, 3 years of age so I guess its a possibility he was looking for a mate but there was nothing in the enviroment to trigger anything so I doubt that was it. Could of been, but all I know is the tank seemed to fix it so I'm thinking it was the tank but who knows lol.

i sure wish my snakes could talk too, but knowing my luck if they did they would keep me up all night
