heating?
finaly got my uth in its a zoo med i also got the zoo med rheostate.now for the zilla digital thermometer. i have the astro turf stuff as substrate. do i put the prob on top of the substrate or under.and what shoult it read its on 92 right now is that fine.

You put the probe underneath the substrate (against the glass), and then you just always have to remember that whatever the thermometer says, it's actually a few degrees cooler than that on the surface. But yes, 92, whether you're getting this reading above or below the substrate, is fine (for the hot/warm side). All future readings from under the substrate should be between 92-94
Also, just another note, the astro turf bedding can be a real pain to clean and often harbors bacteria. Some people use it on the very bottom underneath some other sort of substrate so the snake can't burrow down all the way to the glass, but I would recommend either aspen or coconut bedding instead. Just a friendly suggestion though
