I was diagnosed in 1998 with a Generalized Panic Disorder after some traumatic events in my life. I did many many years of therapy and tried most anxiety med's on the market. I can tell you that I have used Effexor XR for atleast 10 years now and it has done wonders for me. We discovered that my issue stems from a shortage of norepinephrine and most anxiety drugs only help with serotonin. That is why the Effexor XR works for me. Just something to look into.
