Trying to get a trade completed. Whats the best technique to make sure both parties come out with what they expected and no one gets screwed?

If someone is trying to buy something from you and they offer a trade instead they need to send the trade first. The trade is the money. Would you sell something if you didn't recieve payment first?
If your the buyer and you offered a trade then you send the animal first.
Sometimes people will decide to both ship at the same time and thats fine. Get as much Info as you can about the person and verify it. Like the address. Check it out on the net and see if it exists and who owns it.
Make sure you have the current address and phone number.
Research the person via the BOI.
Trades can go wrong very quickly. There is no money exchange so there will be no refund.

If you're getting any kind of money out of the deal, that can be done via paypal. Paypal now has a new security feature where they hold the funds for like 2 weeks or something. Until you comment or get the shipment. If it's animals, then you really have no 100% sure way to get the transaction to go smoothly. I personally would never ship first, also you may be able to contact shipyourreptiles, and see if they will hold both reptiles to make sure both parties go through? I don't think they do that, but they may, it would be awesome if they would because thats a company both parties can trust.

Shipyourreptiles doesn't handle any of the packages. You use their site to order the UPS shipment. UPS ships either straight from your house, or UPS store, to the buyer's house.
